BACKGROUND: Sushi is a shark that usually just swims around minding his own business while looking for food (most likely Cheep Cheeps). He saw a series of chests on the ocean floor. This was surprising to him so he tried to open one only to get shocked. After that, he went about his business, allowing Mario to get the star from the chests.
Sushis continue to patrol the oceans around the Mushroom Kingdom today.
