BACKGROUND: Helio is a strange rubbery boss that has balloon-like qualities. Even more bizarre, every time Wario jumps on his head, he spits out an air pump that Wario can jump on to inflate him. He can throw spears, which are a minor threat. When Helio is inflated too much, he explodes... and that can ruin your week.
EVOLUTION: Helio was the boss of the Desert Ruins in Wario Land 3. He reappeared in Dr. Mario 64, but his appearance did not change that much if at all.
