BACKGROUND: Piranha Planets are a space-bound species of the common Mushroom Kingdom Piranha Plant. They appear to be a large sphere with small holes (pipes) with a clan of small piranha plants inside with one sticking out. They are about the size of a Microgoomba and come in red and green. There may be encountered in the Star Shrine at the peak of Star Mountain. Piranha Planets use laser guns and physical attacks to injure their foes.
