BACKGROUND: A devout and loyal follower of Bowser, it is unknown whether or not Tutankoopa is a Koopa in disguise or is truly the ghost of a past pharaoh buried in the Dry Dry Ruins. He gave warnings to Mario and co. as they explored the ruins, warnings that became more and more frantic as they closed in on his chambers, where he held captive the Star Spirit Mamar. After being confronted and defeated, one of Tutankoopa's spells went awry, and he ended up being chased away by his own Chain Chomp, Chompy.
